In an effort to give back to the Windsor-Essex community, the Windsor Spitfires established the "Windsor Spitfires Foundation" in August 2006. The primary focus of the foundation is dedication to support local children’s charities; however, the Spitfires still welcome all charities to apply for funds.

• The Windsor Spitfires Foundation supports the John McGivney Centre, Victim Services of Windsor and Essex County, and Windsor Regional Hospital.
• The foundation provides hockey equipment and covers registration fees for children who could not otherwise participate in hockey.

The Windsor Spitfires Foundation is continually looking for volunteers to help out on various fundraising projects and events throughout the year. Any amount of time committed to the foundation is greatly appreciated.
