HOUNDS 12 SPITS 1 - FINAL

Worst intermission promo ever. Roll a tire into an empty net.

Anyhow ... 20 more miles.

Jim Parker just brought up the point that, unfortunately, in our 40th season, our guys will go down in regulation time exactly 40 times. Along with another four in overtime / shootout. Wasn't in the plans. We'll be back.

0:28: 10-1 SOO

Fotinos starts the period in goal. First shot he sees goes in. PA guy is a horror show. Speers with the goal. After much confusion.

HOUNDS 9 SPITS 1 - END 2ND

Another 40 minutes to go here. Once things calmed down a little after that circus start, the Spits actually did alright, sticking with a much deeper and more talented Hounds club.

5:32: Speers sets up Bunting, who pops a tip chance over the net.

A Nurse dump in jumps off the end boards, hits Johnston and goes in. So there's that. Season pretty much in a nutshell.

Very next shift, Vertiy alone in front can't bury a chance past Halverson. Tale of two cities.

1:55: 2-0 SOO
Might be a long night. Moore with a tap-in. Two s

SPITS-HOUNDS PREGAME

Well...this is it: Game #68 in what has been a trying season to say the least.

At least we didn't have to travel too far for it (yish).

For the second time in three years, we end the regular season portion of our schedule with a visit to the Essar Centre to take on the Soo Greyhounds. The country's #3 ranked club at that. It's a deep deep bunch that is one of the favourites, along with the Oshawa Generals, to take home the J Ross Robertson Cup and an OHL Championship title come May.
